BABYSITTING at East Valley Elementary School: February 27th from 6:15-8pm. We need your help as parents attend a PTA meeting.
"SATURDAYS for SUCCESS" program at Sedalia Park. Wheeler students may receive documented service hours by helping teachers tutor 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders prepare for standardized tests this Spring in the areas of Reading, Mathematics, and Writing. If you are interested in helping sign up outside Mr. Clayton's room or my room, 512. There will be 8 Saturdays in which you can help from 8-11am on Feb 2, 9, 16 and March 1,8,15,22, and 29. We need your help!!!
WE are supporting the "INVISIBLE CHILDREN" program during lunch February 26th: Students must fill out an application given in HR on 1/30the approved by the 3rd block teacher and returned to boxes in Mrs. McGinnis or Mrs. Gagat's office. The student will only miss 30 minutes of 3rd block. there will be 2 presentations presented each at A/B or C/D lunches.This will be excused and is approved by Mr. Thayer if a student follows through the application process with the 3rd block teacher.
Learning Links: Honor students may receive documented service hours by helping tutor in Learning Links in the media center immediately after school every Tuesday and Thursday.
California Summer Leadership Tour 2008
May 30-June 5, 2008 (Los Angeles. San Diego, Las Vegas)
We have 55 trip participants. We have 48 students and 7 chaperones. The itenerary and more information can be found on www.thinkleadership.com I am taking names for a waiting list just in case someone on the list has to drop.
All Trip Participants Must obtain:
1). Two Teacher recommendations (handwritten and informal is fine)
2). Ten DOCUMENTED hours of service from school, community, place of worship, etc..
3). Behavior Contract (website download)
4). Liability and Insurance Form (website download)
5). Balance of $725 paid
Summer Trip Meeting: Sunday, March 16th, 3pm in the auditorium.
